Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween!!! Well It's Halloween night now..lol I had a great weekend off!! Me and my son Jimmy went to Haunted Harpers Ferry W.V. with his Grandparents we had a blast! We ate a lot of ice cream, pumpkin Ice cream is great! We hiked up a mountain to Jefferson rock It was so much fun!! Even my Dad came with us! We trick or treated tonight and helped My sons Grandma Tina take down all the Halloween decor. Now we are being lazy watching tv and we are both off off school and work for the next two days so we shall see what kind of trouble we can get into. Hopefully we will find something fun to do! Anyway I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!!

A week off!!!!

So now that we are in our "Fall/Winter" hours, I have a weekend off a month until Marchish...This weekend is my first weekend off, So I don't work again until next Friday. I'm happy for the time off but unhappy without the cash flow :(   Well I will be going to Harper's Ferry W.V. tomorrow with the family. I am sooooo excited! I haven't been there in years!!! I wanna see a ghost! Or maybe not....I am excited to see all of the fall colors and scenery. It is the best time of year to go. Then I get to Trick or Treat Sunday with my son! So it should be an exciting weekend! I am gonna try and post pics! I will work on more fun waitress stories too :) This whole thing started with a really annoying day and now I am having fun just writing about my day! So hopefully it entertains someone! Let's talk about water......

You don't need water if you are gonna drink something else. And don't order water for the "table" when they are not there. If your gonna drink water that's fine but my biggest pet peeve is when people order water and don't drink it. I had a lady come in and the rest of her party of fourteen wasn't there yet, Therefore she decided for the "group" that they all needed water to start! So I have to bring 28 drinks to a table for 14 people who aren't gonna drink them because they didn't want water! But she thought that since I'm just a waitress and I had so much free time that I wouldn't mind making two trips and wasting all that water! Not to mention busing the table 28 full drinks to carry back! wth?!? Why on earth are you so important that I need to bring everyone water that they aren't gonna drink? People let's make some changes here! Waitresses/Waiters make usually under 3 bucks an hour. We appreciate our tips!!!!! I want to stress that! I really do appreciate the tips but damn you are not the only customer here! Treat your server with respect! We are not the "help" Our job is to make your experience enjoyable and if we do that then don't treat us with disrespect! People help me get this out there! especially other servers! I could write volumes!!! Don't make me go on a rant! lol I could go on and on about these things people do! and I will! well enough for tonight I had a long day. so.....a waitresses backwards life...

I got up this am and put Jimmy on the bus....and went back to bed! haha I got up at 2!!!!! Sometimes I feel like a loser crawling out of bed when everyone has finished work haha. I texted a friend when I got up and he was getting done at work lol...I am waiting for Jimmy to get off the bus he has already called from the nurses office in pain with his hurt foot :( I feel so bad. I will post more tonight. Not a lot of server stories today because it's winter and I am off for a couple days :( Have a great day everyone!!! Or should I say have a great night! lolol

A lazy Sunday evening..

Me and Jimmy (my son) are carving a pumpkin! Woo-hoo I love this time of year! He is gutting it right now. Every year he has had me do it but this year he can! It always makes my hands and arms burn. Ouch! I actually had a Sunday evening off so we have been lazy just hanging around the house. Maybe when we are done we will watch a scary movie. He goes back to school tomorrow after breaking his foot. I sooo hope he has a good day having to walk a lot at school. I am gonna post pics of the pumpkin when it's done! I don't know if we can top the year when we made a puking pumpkin but we can try...Happy lazy Sunday evening

Hi!

Wow, What a day! I went to work This morning..(I'm a waitress if you haven't figured that out yet..lol) So I am at work It's pretty slow and I get a table of seven..4 adults and 4 children..ugh!!! These people had not even ordered drinks yet and everything that was in the sugar caddy was on the floor being trampled on! I bend down to clean them up and one of the mothers says "Oh don't worry about that we will clean up when we are done" And I'm thinking really? You are gonna put it all back after you and you kids have trampled and stomped all over them?! I am sure next time I get coffee or tea at a restaurant I want to put my hands all over the packets that have been on the floor and stepped on!....NOT! Sooooo gross! It's just common courtesy! So anyway I got their drink order and commenced to go back to the service area and get their drinks and Bitch about how terrible they were...of course. And I was telling my friend Wow I could write a book about the things that people do that still surprise me everyday. And then it came to me....I will start a blog!!! So here I am I don't know if anyone will be interested but I figured it might help me vent and maybe make others feel a little better about their day when they realize that there are other people that get annoyed too. Don't get me wrong I love my job. I love the customers, and I do try and give the best, friendliest service I can give. It just seems like sometimes people think we are more than just servers. People seem to think that we are just the "help" and we are here to do whatever they need done at the time! It's annoying sometimes. I do appreciate every tip I get but I don't need to be a babysitter for your kids. These people didn't even attempt to clean up! At one point the lady had her kid running around the restaurant in nothing but a diaper! Hello! We break glass in the dining room quite a bit and you have your kid running around without even socks on! And I'm sure she would have gotten mad at us if her daughter would have cut herself!  And I forgot to mention she had a crappy diaper too! eeeeeeeew! Really? People are crazy! Well I am finally home I got a Sunday night off! I am gonna hang with my son before bedtime for school tomorrow....
